　　Yesterday, the Shanghai INE announced it will launch Crude Oil Options simulation Trading starting 10th May until 21st May. At the same time, the INE published a circular requesting public comment on the new contracts, however, the consultation period ends on 12th May which would point to go-live for Trading crude oil options 10-15 days after the end of the simulation period. These option contracts similar to the Crude Oil contract will be open for foreign investors to trade using the Overseas Intermediary route via BANDS FinANCial.In addition, it is confidently expected that the INE will follow with a freight index future although the exact basis of the index has not yet been published. The INE can look to the indices currently compiled and published by the Shanghai ShiPPIng Exchange, which following the approval of the State Council, was jointly founded by the Ministry of Transport and Shanghai Municipal People's Government in 1996.
